Cut a strip 40 1/2 by 5 inches, making sure it stretches lenghtwise. Sew the short ends right sides together to get a loop. Finish the edges with a rolled hem on serger or leave unfinished (knits do not ravel much).
Fold into a figure 8.
Fold the part that is under over the other.
Straighten out and bring loops together.

What part of the twist covers the head? I see a seem in the photo. Where is the cap sewn?
I just made this and love how easy it is, but can't seem to get it to fit my mannequin head as pretty as you have. Any suggestions?

Last part of these instructions are confusing. no description on what is meant of if you sew it to the beenie?
